German Apothecary Museum

Within the walls of the Heidelberg Castle is an Apothecary Museum.  So, obviously, being the lover of museums that I am (and really cool doors, but that's another story for another day), I insisted that we go in.  We breezed through it pretty quickly.  There were quite a few people and I didn't spend a lot of time reading the little information ....

Heidelberg Castle

With Mannheim explored, the apartment chosen, and some friends made, we had one more day before we needed to head home to Michigan for a few weeks.  The small town of Heidelburg is only a few minutes away from Mannheim (seriously, everything is so much closer together in Germany).  The two are closer than Ann Arbor and Detroit.  All you Michiganders, ....

House Hunters International - Submerged Oaks Edition

Quarry Diving

Saturday left us mentally taxed.  What to do to remedy it?  Go diving!  Isn't that the answer for everything?!  Well, I guess it may not be for some (although it should be).  And the best part of diving this weekend?  We got to dive with Jill, a friend of ours that had to be dry (i.e. she couldn't dive) for the past two month!  It was awesome!  We joked that there were two groups there to dive this weekend - the Windsor Skin and Dive Club from Canada and the  "I want to dive with Jill" group.  The "I want to dive with Jill" group was bigger :)

Fully Cultured

This whole moving half way around the world thing is starting to get crazy (not to mention fill up our schedule)!  This weekend we had German Culture training on Friday and Saturday evening and a German (language) lesson on Saturday morning.  Needless to say, I think we are now fully cultured and ready for out debut into German society.  Now we just need to figure out the whole language thing so that we don't make bumbling idiots of ourselves.  Some things we found interesting about the German culture:
